If a petition was made or people actually decided to do something about this chemical then maybe it will be banned. California and Europe did it, so why cant we. The U.S senate is trying to make some changes when it comes down to phthalates but they aren’t moving fast enough, if people really knew what phthalates were and all the bad things that comes along with it then I am pretty sure they will want to make a change just like me.

I think that everyone needs phthalates in their life but since there is a healthier alternative that can be used then we should use that. Benzoflex plasticizers is one of the alternatives for phthalates, its cost is less because it has calcium carbonate filler in it. If Europe knew about this alternative then they would be able to use it instead of risking it and using phthalates. It wouldn’t be risky to use it on lab animals, and it would make the everyday objects that we use with phthalates in them it would be healthier for us.
